Rector Dalgar attended the 'Universities Planning and Coordination Meeting'

At the meeting, important issues related to inter-university sports activities, financial processes, and international organizations were addressed.

The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by TÜSF President Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen, followed by a question-and-answer session with the participants. In the opening program, a ‘Strategic Plan Presentation’ was also conducted by Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Sports Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Ayşe Türksoy Işım.

In the afternoon session, Prof. Dr. Taner Bozkuş made a presentation on ‘Domestic Activity Planning – Financial Approval and Payments’, and Aslı Özdendir on ‘International Organizations (FISU – EUSA) Information’.

Sports management and interactive survey study presentation

One of the notable sessions of the meeting was conducted by our university's Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan, who was part of the team that prepared the ‘Research Report on Sports-Activity Level and Holistic Well-Being in Youth’ at MAKÜ. Prof. Dr. Alparslan presented a survey study titled ‘Interactive Survey Study’ aimed at evaluating sports activities in universities. He shared important data on how surveys can be used more effectively in sports management processes, offering participants a practical evaluation process.

Sports-friendly campus project

Emphasizing the importance of the ‘sports-friendly campus’ project, TÜSF President Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen stated; “As the university sports federation, we are conducting our planning and coordination meeting. In these sessions, we especially engaged in extensive exchanges of ideas with all our stakeholders, primarily health culture and sports (SKS) department heads, our provincial representatives, sports faculties, and physical education sports school directors, sports directors at foundation universities, and sports coordinators, to restructure our activity framework for the future. Within this framework, we have made various decisions here with a common mind to organize events with higher participation and interaction in the coming years. Additionally, we evaluated various suggestions for the healthier execution of our activities, grouping activities, conducting them with broader participation, and in a festival atmosphere with enthusiasm, and made decisions regarding these. Again, as one of the most important agenda items of our meeting, we informed our relevant stakeholders, especially our SKS department heads, about the promotion, dissemination, and awareness-raising activities related to the sports-friendly campus project. We will update and share it with all stakeholders. But beyond these, we will also have the opportunity to restructure our activities to be conducted from the next season as a result of this meeting.”  he expressed.

This important gathering organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation was attended by our university's Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan, Faculty of Sports Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Emrah Atay, and Vice Dean Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Ulaş.
