MAKÜ Faculty of Arts and Sciences received double accreditation from FEDEK

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences operating under Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University has achieved a significant success in academic quality. Full accreditation for 5 years was granted to two of the faculty's programs.

The undergraduate programs in History and Turkish Language and Literature of the faculty were subjected to a general evaluation for the first time within the scope of the 2025 Evaluation Period by the Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs (FEDEK). As a result of the examinations, both programs were granted full accreditation valid from January 7, 2026, to September 30, 2031.

In a statement from the faculty administration, it was noted that this accreditation not only certifies the academic quality of the departments but also offers significant advantages to students. The statement emphasized that the compliance of the educational programs with international quality standards has been officially certified.

Thanks to the accreditation, which will be valid for five years, it was expressed that graduates will have a stronger position in both national and international job markets, while the quality-oriented approach in educational processes and the understanding of continuous development have also been institutionally secured.

The success achieved demonstrates that Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University continues to progress in line with its goals of quality in education and academic development, adding another link to the chain of success in higher education.
