5-year full accreditation for MAKÜ Landscape Architecture Department

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Landscape Architecture, achieved a significant success by documenting its education quality at international standards. The department's undergraduate program has been granted full accreditation for 5 years as a result of comprehensive evaluations conducted by the Design and Planning Accreditation Association (TAPLAK).

Operating with the aim of enhancing the quality of education in the fields of design and planning, monitoring the compliance of programs with current requirements, and ensuring their adherence to national and international standards, TAPLAK thoroughly examined the department's academic staff, physical infrastructure, and curriculum. Following the evaluations, the Landscape Architecture Undergraduate Program was certified with the highest accreditation period of 5 years full accreditation.

In a statement made by the faculty administration, it was emphasized that the obtained accreditation will provide significant gains for both the department and the students. The statement expressed that thanks to this success, the compliance of the education program with international standards has been officially registered.

It was noted that with the five-year full accreditation, graduates will gain a stronger competitive advantage in the national and international job market, while the quality-focused approach in education processes and the understanding of continuous improvement have become sustainable.
