At Gölhisar Park Orman Millet Bahçesi, the festival will be open to visitors for four days. Within the scope of the festival, 26 different workshops, at least 6 experiments and shows, planetarium, earthquake simulation, 2 expert seminars, and a total of 95 events will be held. Participants will explore different fields of science in a wide range, from observing nature with a microscope to artificial intelligence applications, from archaeological excavation experiences to renewable energy projects.

The festival started with a performance by the Gölhisar Public Education and Youth Center folk dance team. Speaking at the opening, Project Manager Prof. Dr. Özdemir Şentürk emphasized their aim to bring science to all segments of society and said:
“This festival aims to increase the sense of curiosity, especially among our youth, and to develop innovative thinking skills. Our participants will experience science beyond theory, with practical and interactive experiences.”

Gölhisar MYO Director Lecturer Murat Ertilav also stated that the festival is a first for the district, saying, “Today we are laying the foundation of Gölhisar’s own TEKNOFEST. This organization is a beginning that brings science and innovation together with society.”

Gölhisar Mayor İbrahim Sertbaş, who spoke at the event, emphasized the value students add to the district. Gölhisar District Governor Emre Çiftçi stated that the festival will be a light of science for future generations.

The last speech was made by MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, who expressed that the university not only educates students but also considers it a duty to add value to the districts it is located in:
“We have three academic units in Gölhisar. The happiness and success of our students here are indicators that we are acting with the right vision. We will grow this success by supporting our districts as much as the center.”

After the opening speeches, the festival officially started with the ribbon cutting. Approximately 5 thousand visitors are expected to attend the four-day event. Students from schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education will be transported to the festival area by buses, providing them the opportunity to examine the projects on-site.
