Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) achieved significant success with its efforts to promote healthy living. The university was awarded the "Nutrition-Friendly and Physical Activity Supporting Workplace" certificate as a result of its efforts in line with the Nutrition-Friendly and Physical Activity Supporting Workplace Implementation Guide prepared by the Ministry of Health.

To achieve this success, MAKÜ prepared an application file within the scope of the İstiklal Campus and submitted it to the Burdur Provincial Health Directorate. As a result of the evaluations, the university successfully met the determined standards with its practices that promote physical activity and healthy eating behaviors.

Among the practices implemented within the university are comprehensive efforts such as increasing healthy eating opportunities for employees and students, organizing events that encourage regular physical activity, and improving the accessibility of sports facilities. These activities have enabled MAKÜ to stand out as an exemplary institution promoting a healthy living culture.

The certificate given by the Burdur Provincial Health Directorate was evaluated as a result of MAKÜ's policies adopting a sustainable health understanding for both its employees and students. MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar congratulated all academic and administrative staff who contributed to obtaining the certificate and conveyed the message that such healthy living practices will continue.

With such efforts, MAKÜ once again proved that it is a pioneering university not only in its achievements in education and science but also in enhancing the quality of life of its employees and students.
