IT specialists met at MAKÜ at the GDG Burdur DevFest 2024 software conference

The 'GDG Burdur Devfest 2024' software and informatics conference organized in collaboration with GDG Burdur and MAKÜ Student Communities was held with a large number of participants at the MAKÜ Conference and Exhibition Hall.
Within the scope of the event, presentations by expert speakers in fields such as artificial intelligence, software development, web technologies, mobile application development, cyber security, and software architectures attracted great interest. GDG Burdur DevFest 2024 was remembered as an event that shed light on the future of the software development world and inspired participants.
As every year, this year too, the Google Developer Groups (GDG) Burdur team and MAKÜ Student Communities brought together leading names in the software world. The event, held with the support of the MAKÜ Rectorate as well as the Faculty of Engineering-Architecture and Bucak Faculty of Technology, offered students and software developers a unique opportunity to learn and connect.
GDG DevFest events aim to help software developers and students improve their knowledge and skills, learn new technologies, and communicate with other developers. This event was filled with expert speakers shaping the future of the software world and presentations that inspired participants.
The event, realized with the participation and efforts of the Computer Engineering Community, Young Academy Community, IEEE Community, Digital Game Community, Information and Informatics Community, and Unmanned Vehicles Community, reached a wide student audience.
The event, which started with the opening speech of the Academic Head of the Computer Engineering Community, Prof. Dr. Ali Hakan Işık, and attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner and students, featured important names in the sector such as Rümeysa Kara, Orhan Özkerçin, Doğancan Mavideniz, Elif Selen Dumanoğulları, Daron Yöndem, and Merthan Telli sharing their knowledge and experiences with the participants.
Visit from Google Developer Groups Team to Rector Dalgar
The Google Developer Groups (GDG) team visited Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar in his office. Muhammed Furkan Taşçı, Ahmet Gürsel, Ali Tezcan Sarızeybek, Ömer Can Eskicioğlu, and Fatih Aykul participated in the visit.
During the visit, the team informed Rector Dalgar about GDG's work in the field of technology, local and international projects, and possible collaborations with the university.
Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the GDG team, emphasizing that such initiatives in the field of technology and innovation are important for the university. Dalgar stated that the university is ready to support such projects and expressed that the orientation of young people towards technology is of great importance for the future of the country.
