6th Inter-University Folk Dances and Music Festival saw the breeze of MAKÜ

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Folk Dances and Modern Dance Group and Turkish Music State Conservatory (TMDK) Turkish Folk Dances Department students received full marks from the audience with their performances at the 6th Inter-University Folk Dances and Music Festival held at Eskişehir Osmangazi University.
The 6th Inter-University Folk Dances and Music Festival organized by Eskişehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ) Folklore Application and Research Center (HAMER) brought together folk dance groups from different universities in Turkey. The festival held at ESOGÜ Amphitheater showcased colorful images where cultural diversity and art met.
Within the scope of the festival, the MAKÜ Folk Dances and Modern Dance Group representing Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University and the students of the MAKÜ Turkish Music State Conservatory Turkish Folk Dances Department received great appreciation with their performances of Roman Dances and Burdur Region Folk Dances. The students, who stood out with their energetic performances, original choreographies, and costumes reflecting local culture, provided the audience with unforgettable moments.
At the festival where folk dances from different regions of Turkey were showcased, the Community Academic Advisor Dr. Faculty Member Nurgül Mıhladız from MAKÜ Turkish Music State Conservatory and Student Community President Kaan Tekcan guided the students who successfully brought Burdur's cultural heritage to the stage, once again highlighting MAKÜ's accumulation in the field of art and culture.
Throughout the day-long festival program, a parade, folk dance performances, and inter-university cultural interaction activities were held. At the end of the festival, certificates of appreciation were presented to the participating groups, and the event concluded with a group photo session.
MAKÜ's successful representatives made a significant achievement in promoting Burdur's rich folk culture and contributing to the strengthening of cultural sharing between universities. The students and instructors who successfully represented MAKÜ were among the most notable teams of the festival.
