The Inter-University Personnel Sports Competitions hosted by MAKÜ have been completed

The Inter-University Personnel Sports Competitions, organized for the first time this year by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF), concluded with the final matches and award ceremony held at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ).

During the four-day organization held at MAKÜ sports facilities, academic and administrative staff from universities across different provinces of Turkey competed in football, volleyball, and table tennis. The competitions, with a total of 22 teams and 205 athletes from 15 universities, contributed to the development of a friendly and cooperative environment among institutions through the unifying power of sports.

In the tournament, 13 university teams took to the field in the football category, while athletes from various universities fiercely competed in volleyball and table tennis. Throughout the competitions, sportsmanship and team spirit were prominent, as participants fought for sporting success and also had the opportunity to meet colleagues from different universities.

At the end of the organization, Gazi University achieved the championship in the football category, while Istanbul Technical University came in second and Afyon Kocatepe University placed third.

In the table tennis category, Pamukkale University secured first place, while Isparta University of Applied Sciences came in second and Erciyes University took third place.

In the volleyball competitions, Erciyes University ranked first, while Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University won second place and Pamukkale University secured third place. 

During the closing and award ceremony held on June 7, trophies and medals were presented to the winning teams, and the first-time organization received positive feedback from participants. The competitions held under the auspices of MAKÜ brought university staff together under the umbrella of sports, creating moments filled with both competition and friendship.
