Turkey National Deaf Football Team's Championship Thanks to MAKÜ

Turkey Hearing Impaired Football National Team, after conducting two separate training camps at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Sports Facilities on September 6–26, 2025, and October 18-30, 2025, achieved great success at the 25th Deaflympics held in Japan by reaching the Olympic championship.

National Team Head Coach Ramazan Karacif, who made evaluations after the championship, emphasized that the camp period they spent at MAKÜ was one of the cornerstones of success. Karacif, thanking Burdur and the university for their support, used the following expressions:

“We became Olympic champions. We are grateful for the contributions you provided to our Burdur, our MAKÜ. Your support and effort are very valuable to us. You are very precious to us, teacher. I convey the respect and greetings of the entire team. We will visit as soon as possible.”

Turkey Hearing Impaired Football National Team stated that they had a productive camp period at MAKÜ and expressed that the historical success achieved was the result of this preparation process.
