The "Welcome to Your University Football Tournament" started at MAKÜ

At Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ), the "Welcome to Your University Football Tournament" organized for first-year students newly joining the university in the 2025-2026 academic year has started.

In the tournament, which kicked off with the first day matches played on October 27, 2025, at the artificial turf field of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, 11 teams are competing in 4 groups. The organization will conclude with the final matches to be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

The matches played on the first day were quite competitive and filled with exciting moments. The results of the day were as follows:

• Burdur Health Services Vocational School 10 – 0 Social Sciences Vocational School
• Technical Sciences Vocational School 3 – 2 Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS)
• Faculty of Dentistry 9 – 1 Faculty of Tourism

The organization, aimed at fostering student integration, developing team spirit, and encouraging sports, is also being followed with interest by the university community.
