In cooperation with the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and the Turkish Football Coaches Association (TÜFAD) Burdur Branch, the second phase of training for the UEFA C Football Coaching Course, held for the first time in Burdur, has started at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Athlete Training and Camp Center.

In the program conducted with the participation of 30 trainees from different regions of Turkey, 2 instructors from TFF guide the courses for 5 days. In academic lessons, faculty members from the university's Faculty of Sports Sciences contribute. Coach candidates who successfully complete the course will be able to work in development leagues, professional women's leagues, regional amateur leagues, amateur clubs, and the infrastructures of professional teams.

The course instructors, former Super League players Mehmet Çoğum and Hakan Fırıloğlu, emphasized the quality of the university facilities, stating, “This is an exemplary center that makes a great contribution to the country's sports. We have provided training in many places in Turkey, but the facilities here are truly the best. It is very important for the country's football that these facilities are recognized by wider audiences.”

TÜFAD Burdur Branch President Özcan Yıldırım also stated that the university is always by their side, saying, “The support of our university gives us strength. I thank our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, who is a friend of sports and athletes, and the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Emrah Atay.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar expressed in his speech that they support with all their means for the facilities to serve the country's sports, saying, “We have hosted many local and foreign teams so far, and they all left here satisfied. The preferences of our coaches are very valuable. It will make us happy if you bring your teams to these facilities in the future. I wish you all success.”
