The National Football Team for the Hearing Impaired entered camp at MAKÜ

The National Football Team for the Hearing Impaired is continuing its preparations in Burdur ahead of the 25th Deaflympics to be held in Japan in November 2025. The national team is conducting its fourth training camp with an intense schedule at the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Sports Facilities.

Providing information about the camp process, Head Coach Ramazan Karaçif stated that the camp, which started on September 6, is continuing at a high level in every aspect, and said:

“We are continuing our preparations according to the planned schedule. We are very satisfied with our camp in Burdur. Everything from accommodation to training fields, from nutrition to rest, is at a level that meets the needs of a professional national team. Our players are in an intense program both physically and mentally. We loved Burdur, we were very well hosted.”

Karaçif also mentioned that they planned friendly matches as part of the camp, saying, “We are in communication with the Turkish Football Coaches Association (TÜFAD) Burdur Branch. We plan to play friendly matches with two different teams here. Then our camp will end on September 26, and we will move on to our final camp in Ankara to complete our preparations before the Olympics.”

MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, who visited the national team camp, also met with the players and technical staff, saying, “Welcome to Burdur, our national team, and I want you to know that we are always with you on your Olympic journey. I wish you success in advance for the event to be held in Tokyo.”

Team captain İmamettin Sünmez expressed their satisfaction with the MAKÜ Sports Facilities, saying, “Great opportunities are provided in Burdur, and we have the chance to carry out our work in the most efficient way here.”

At the end of the visit, Head Coach Ramazan Karaçif and the players presented Rector Dalgar with a national team jersey.
