The "Welcome to Your University Football Tournament" held at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University on October 25, 2024, concluded with the final matches. In the first match of the day, the Faculty of Health Sciences defeated the Vocational School of Technical Sciences with a score of 6-4, finishing the tournament in third place.
Before the final match, a moment of silence was held in memory of the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, all our martyrs, and Lecturer Mehmet Varkal from the Vocational School of Social Sciences, who passed away in recent months.
In the final, the Faculty of Sports Sciences achieved a 2-1 victory over the Vocational School of Social Sciences, becoming the champion of the tournament. At the award ceremony, the Faculty of Health Sciences, which secured third place, received their trophy and medals from the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Emrah Atay. The awards for the Vocational School of Social Sciences, which won second place, were presented by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Tekşen.
The Faculty of Sports Sciences, which completed the tournament as champions, received their trophy and medals from Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar. The tournament took place with great interest from participants and spectators.
