Commercial Diplomacy Course in the Historical Atmosphere of Kibrya

The Commercial Diplomacy course organized by Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) began with the first class held at Kibrya Ancient City, attended by students from Gölhisar Vocational School, Gölhisar Health Services Vocational School, and Gölhisar School of Applied Sciences. This meaningful event gained further significance with the lecture given by the Chairman of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), Nail Olpak.
The program started with the opening speech of Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar. Dalgar stated that conducting this course in the historical sites of the university holds a special meaning and will provide students with a deep perspective.
In the Commercial Diplomacy Course held at the Odeion of Kibrya Ancient City, Nail Olpak shared with the students the current dynamics in global trade and his vision on commercial diplomacy.
Five Key Topics on the Path to Success
In the lecture where he emphasized important topics by giving examples from his life, DEİK Chairman Olpak touched upon subjects such as leadership and management, helping, demand and the meaning of life, the importance of civil society, time management, risk, gratitude, apology and rewarding, education, success, and happiness. He shared the 5 key topics necessary for success in life, saying; “The first two of them are not in your hands, they must be given to you. These are your intelligence and sufficient time to accomplish that task. The next two are in your hands. Your goodwill and sufficient effort. The last one is assigning the right job to the right person. When you make a very successful R&D manager a General Manager, you may not achieve the same success. We call this the right career plan.” he said.
At the end of the program, a gift was presented to Nail Olpak by Rector Dalgar in memory of the day. The event concluded with a concert by Local Artist Sümer Ezgü and Group MİX, consisting of students from the Music Technologies Department of the Turkish Music State Conservatory.
