Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Participated in EAIE 2024 Toulouse Fair

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) participated in the 34th European Association for International Education (EAIE) Fair held in Toulouse, France, from September 17-20, 2024. This year's fair is considered one of the most important gatherings in the world of higher education and brought together more than 7,000 education professionals from all over the world. EAIE created a platform for increasing cooperation opportunities in international education and sharing knowledge and experience.

 

Strategic Meetings from MAKÜ to Expand Its International Network

 

A delegation consisting of Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, International Relations Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Gürkan Dilek, Assistant Coordinators of International Relations Dr. Lecturer Hande Özge Güler Dal and Dr. Lecturer Kübra Ertan attended the fair representing MAKÜ. Throughout the event, the delegation held face-to-face meetings with universities, research institutions, and educational organizations from more than 100 countries. In these meetings, significant contacts were made to expand MAKÜ's international academic network, develop joint research projects, and establish collaborations for student exchange programs.

 

Participation in the fair was considered an important part of MAKÜ's strategy to increase its visibility on the international stage and lay the foundations for new collaborations worldwide. EAIE served as a major international meeting point that allowed universities to interact globally in the fields of education, research, and innovation. As a result of the contacts made at the fair, the MAKÜ delegation received positive feedback regarding cooperation with various educational institutions in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

 

Participation in such events within the scope of MAKÜ's internationalization strategy aims to increase the university's competitiveness in the academic world while providing international experience opportunities for students and academics. Especially the meetings held on student exchange programs, joint academic projects, and access to international research funds have provided significant gains in line with the university's vision.
