The '125B956' numbered National Technology Workshop Project applied by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University was accepted within the scope of the 4003 Science Center and Workshop Support Program conducted by TÜBİTAK Science and Society Presidency. The project, with a budget of 30 million TL, aims to support the technology production and development skills of young people in line with the goals of the 'National Technology Initiative'.
With the project decided to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK's 4003-T National Technology Workshops Call, the workshop to be established within the university will be open to different university students, primarily undergraduate and graduate students, as well as middle and high school students, graduates, and entrepreneurs.
Projects aimed at developing local and national technology will be produced in the workshop; young people preparing for science and technology competitions will be supported. At the same time, it is aimed to train qualified human resources that will contribute to the local industry and strengthen the technical and vocational education processes of entrepreneurial youth.
The workshop will be open not only to university students but to all young people from primary education to postgraduate level throughout Burdur. With the project, the needs of teams participating in science and technology competitions will be met, allowing young people to experience production and prototyping processes. Additionally, the implementation of projects developed with industrial collaborations will be supported.
This project conducted by MAKÜ aims to train qualified human resources that will contribute to the local and national industry and to spread the project culture. With the National Technology Workshop, it is aimed to support technology-based entrepreneurship in Burdur and to provide a permanent scientific infrastructure.
This workshop, which will contribute to Burdur becoming a new center in the field of technology and innovation, will be an important step in implementing the vision of the National Technology Initiative locally.
