The activities of the Disability Week in Burdur were filled with colorful images.

Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar also attended the program organized jointly by Burdur Provincial Directorate of National Education and Burdur Family and Social Services Provincial Directorate, in which Governor Türker Öksüz, Burdur Chief Public Prosecutor Osman Kara, Deputy Mayor Hülya Erarslan, Provincial General Assembly President Levent Tokmaker, Provincial Police Director Ümit Bitirik and Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Jan.Alb.Mustafa Güder, as well as Department Managers and protocol members including Burdur Disabled Association President Selçuk Örnek participated.

 

The program held at Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Conference Hall started with a moment of silence and the recitation of the National Anthem in sign language by the students of Martyr Hakan Aktürk Special Education Vocational School. Following the speeches by Governor Türker Öksüz, Deputy Director of Family and Social Services Mustafa Çakır, and student parent Selcan Tuncel, performances were presented by the students of Martyr Hakan Aktürk Special Education Vocational School.

 

Overcoming obstacles, they showcased all their talents

 

During the program, a music choir prepared by Alparslan Ali Can Science and Art Center and Martyr Hakan Aktürk Special Education Vocational School took the stage. The disabled children touched the audience with songs and also entertained them with lively songs. Poems were recited and folk dances were performed. The students who overcame obstacles enchanted the audience with their talents.

 

Appreciation Certificates Presented to Institutions and Organizations Receiving Accessibility Certificate

 

Following the presentation of certificates to public institutions and organizations that received the Accessibility Certificate, awards were presented to benefactors who contributed financially and spiritually to the Burdur Association for the Protection and Preservation of the Disabled.
