Through the training, it is aimed for students to become aware of mutual respect, trust, equality, and individual boundaries in interpersonal relationships, recognize different forms of violence, and gain information about the support mechanisms they can refer to in the face of violence.
These trainings at our university were implemented in October 2026 in accordance with the coordination with academic units and the prepared training calendar. Training sessions were held between October 13-22, 2026, reaching students from the Departments of Western Languages and Literature, Geography, History, and Biology of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, as well as students from the State Conservatory of Turkish Music and the Department of Social Work of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
The training program was planned to allow participation from students of different class levels; separate sessions were organized for first and second-year students as well as third and fourth-year students in some departments. The trainings were conducted in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Avşarhan Cinema Hall, and the classrooms of the relevant academic units. With the training activities carried out under the coordination of KASAUM, it is aimed to strengthen awareness of violence prevention among university youth, promote a culture of healthy and safe relationships, and support a life understanding based on mutual respect in the university environment. The trainings conducted are part of our university's institutional efforts to combat violence against women, raise social awareness, and develop a safe campus life.
