MAKÜ, which stands out with its projects contributing to regional development in the field of agriculture and livestock, continues its efforts to determine the competencies of professions and to qualify the human resources needed in the sector.
The national occupational standards for Poultry Animal Gender Separation Element (Level 3), Poultry Animal Breeding Element (Level 3), and Agricultural Worker (Level 2), prepared by the university's experts, gained official status with the published regulation.
Previously contributing to the preparation of the Dairy Processing Element (Level 3) national occupational standard, MAKÜ has made a significant contribution to the definition of the professional qualifications needed in different areas of the agriculture and livestock sector with the new standards.
Contribution to qualified workforce
Within the scope of the 'Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program', MAKÜ, which specializes in the field of agriculture and livestock, does not limit its work to academic production alone. The university also leads efforts to train qualified, measurable, and certifiable human resources by considering the needs of the sector.
While the aim is to define the knowledge, skills, and competencies that workers should possess within a common framework through the establishment of national occupational standards, it is expected that these standards will contribute to rural development and the enhancement of the sector's human resource capacity.
Strong collaboration with agricultural technologies
The acceleration of technological transformation in the agriculture and livestock sector necessitates strengthening the collaboration between universities, industry, and producers, in addition to qualified human resources.
MAKÜ continues to contribute to regional development as well as Turkey's sustainable agriculture and food security goals by supporting specialization efforts in the field of agriculture and livestock with professional standards, technological transformation, and sector collaborations.
