Emotional reunion with 1986 graduates at MAKÜ Faculty of Education

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Education hosted a meaningful event that brought together its graduates after many years. Educators who graduated from the faculty in 1986 and are among the institution's oldest graduates both relieved their longing and experienced emotional moments at the reunion.

The program held at the Faculty of Education Conference Hall attracted great interest from graduates coming from different cities of Turkey. Teachers who reunited under the same roof after years refreshed their memories and shared their experiences regarding their professional lives.

As part of the program, a panel titled “Experience, Accumulation, and Future Perspective on Teacher Training in the 40th Year of Our Graduates” was also held.

Speaking at the program, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Firdevs Savi Çakar emphasized the importance of this reunion for the faculty. Dean Çakar stated that the 1986 graduates have maintained their energy, commitment to the teaching profession, and idealism despite the years, expressing that this situation is inspiring for them.

Emphasizing that the strong bond established with the graduates is one of the most important values of the faculty, Dean Çakar also touched upon the critical role of the teaching profession today. She stated that the impact of teachers on students is not limited to academic success, but they also undertake an important role in social transformation by establishing emotional bonds.

Dean Çakar noted that such reunions contribute to the sharing of accumulated knowledge from the past and to the faculty's progress towards the future with more solid steps, thanking all the graduates who participated and wishing them health, happiness, and success.
