MAKÜ Management met with Western Burdur Vocational Schools in Gölhisar

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar and the university administration attended the academic council meeting of the vocational schools in Western Burdur as part of the program held in Gölhisar.

In the first part of the program, the New Building Project, which will strengthen the physical infrastructure of Gölhisar Vocational School, was examined on-site and evaluations were made about the ongoing works. With the new building, it is aimed to create a safer, more modern, and qualified educational environment for students, academic and administrative staff.

Then, at the Western Burdur Vocational Schools Academic Council Meeting hosted by Gölhisar Vocational School, the current status, academic goals, and work plans for the upcoming period of the vocational schools in Gölhisar, Çavdır, Tefenni, Yeşilova, and Altınyayla districts were discussed.

Speaking at the program, MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar stated that he aims to establish a strong academic structure in every district where the university is located and said:

“We value the culture of common sense and consultation in all units of our university. Our vocational schools in our districts are important educational centers that contribute to the development of the region they are located in. We are determinedly continuing our efforts to strengthen the academic capacity and physical infrastructure of our vocational schools in Western Burdur.”

At the end of the program, a large-scale iftar program was held with the participation of academic and administrative staff and students. In the program attended by approximately 500 students, university members shared the atmosphere of unity and togetherness of the Ramadan month.
