Turkey's Social Contribution Projects Festival UNIFEST will be held at MAKÜ

UNİFEST – University Student Communities Social Contribution Project Festival, which aims to make university students' socially beneficial work visible, will be hosted by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. The organization, which is expected to receive applications from over 200 universities and more than 1000 student community projects across Turkey, aims to bring together the social impact produced by young people in the field on a national scale.

Application deadline March 13, 2026

Applications for UNİFEST, organized with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and coordinated by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, have started and will continue until March 13, 2026.

Unlike traditional project competitions, UNİFEST evaluates not only works in the idea stage but also projects that have been implemented, produced tangible outputs, and created social impact. Officially recognized student communities by universities can apply to the competition.

Projects compete under 10 main themes determined in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Twelfth Development Plan. Projects developed in areas such as climate change, social development, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, health, agriculture and food security, entrepreneurship, disaster management, and culture and arts will be evaluated by expert jury members with multidimensional criteria.

Total 1.5 Million TL prize

Within the scope of the competition, each theme will be evaluated within itself, and the top three projects will be awarded. At the end of the competition, a total of 1.5 million TL worth of prizes will be given to 30 projects.

The finalist projects will present their presentations within the scope of the festival to be held at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University on May 6–7, 2026. During the festival, students will have the opportunity to meet with academics, public representatives, and sector stakeholders to promote their projects, receive feedback, and develop new collaborations.

UNİFEST stands out as an innovative platform that aims to transform university youth into individuals who not only generate ideas but also produce solutions to social problems in the field, take an active role, and create sustainable impact.
