Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) added a new one to its cultural activities for international students. As part of the trip organized on May 13, 2025, students from different countries visited the ancient city of Sagalassos and embarked on an unforgettable historical journey.

Known for its magnificent Roman-era ruins and located in Burdur's Ağlasun district, Sagalassos took the students on a journey through time.

The ancient city's magnificent structures, historical fountains, and impressive theater attracted great interest from the students, while participants took plenty of photos to immortalize this cultural experience.

The event not only offered a historical exploration but also contributed to social cohesion by increasing interaction among students from different cultures. MAKÜ officials stated that such organizations allow students to get to know Turkey's cultural heritage more closely and strengthen the university's international vision.

The students who participated in the trip thanked MAKÜ for hosting such a meaningful event and expressed that the day they spent in Sagalassos was an unforgettable experience for them.
