‘From Dreams to Goals: Entrepreneurship and Success Story’ event inspired young people

The event titled 'From Dreams to Goals: Entrepreneurship and Success Story' organized by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Tourism aimed to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship and bring students together with an inspiring success story. The guest of honor at the event was one of the leading figures in the business world, Chairman of the Board of Şahinler Holding, Kemal Şahin .

The program began with an opening speech by the Faculty of Tourism. Following this, Kemal Şahin shared his own entrepreneurial journey and the story of Şahinler Holding's global success with the participants. In his speech, Şahin emphasized the importance of vision, courage, determination, and innovation in entrepreneurship, while giving sincere and motivating messages to young people to pursue their dreams.

In the interactive part of the event, the question-and-answer session, students and university staff had the opportunity to ask Kemal Şahin questions they were curious about regarding career planning, sectoral developments, and entrepreneurship processes. Şahin answered all questions sincerely and shared his experiences with the participants.

At the end of the program, a thank-you plaque was presented to Kemal Şahin by the Faculty of Tourism for his contributions. The event was an inspiring experience, especially for students dreaming of entrepreneurship.

The event, which attracted great interest from students studying in various fields, especially in the tourism sector, and university staff, was also attended by Burdur Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Mustafa Tokat, Deputy Director Hüseyin Güçlü, Branch Manager Pınar Arslan, and Tourism Affairs Branch staff.

As part of his program at the university, Kemal Şahin visited Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar in his office and emphasized the importance of his speech to the students of the Faculty of Tourism. Şahin stated that they are open to any cooperation that will contribute to the career development of young people and expressed his satisfaction with the prospect of conducting joint studies with the university in the future.
