At the opening, General Director of Living Heritage and Cultural Events of the Ministry of Culture, Selim Terzi, said in his speech, "These are great opportunities to first pass on our intangible cultural heritage to today and then to future generations, to our children. Our Ministry organizes Culture Route Festivals in 20 cities in Turkey, and apart from this, we aim to bring together our citizens and perhaps guests coming from abroad with traditional arts in 10 of our cities. In our Culture Route Festival, living heritages and traditional handicrafts are prominently featured. In the upcoming periods, we will introduce these traditional festivals in different cities," he said.

Governor Tülay Baydar Bilgihan, in her speech where she talked about Burdur's culture, history, folklore, instruments, and melodies, said; "Burdur has an incredible potential. I joke in the places I go, saying 'How did you manage to make yourselves so unrecognizable?' Maybe it's the irony of it, but in the upcoming period, whether they want it or not, Burdur's values will have met the world. Burdur is truly one of our unique cities, first and foremost with its nature, culture, history, artistic and folkloric values, natural stone architecture, and most importantly, with its human values and human resources," she said.

After the folklore show, a ribbon was cut by protocol members, and attendees toured the workshop activities of 24 intangible cultural heritage bearers from 11 provinces in 18 art branches. The festival will end on March 23.

Governor Tülay Baydar Bilgihan, General Director of Living Heritage and Cultural Events of the Ministry of Culture Selim Terzi, Chief Public Prosecutor Osman Kara, President of the Justice Commission Musa Talih, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar,  Deputy Mayor of Burdur Hülya Eraslan, along with students and citizens attended the opening at Burdur Culture Center.
