Rector Dalgar attended the 110th anniversary commemoration program of the March 18 Martyrs' Remembrance and Çanakkale Naval Victory.

The ceremony began with the laying of a wreath at the martyrdom monument. A moment of silence was observed, and the National Anthem was sung, followed by a salute. After the speech highlighting the significance of the day, poems were recited by students. Burdur Governor Tülay Baydar Bilgihan signed the Martyrdom Memorial Book, writing her feelings and thoughts on the significance of the day.
Governor Bilgihan, Garrison Commander Infantry Commando Colonel İlhan Gökoğlan, Mayor Ali Orkun Ercengiz, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, and Veterans Association President Hasan Okyar placed carnations on the martyr's graves, followed by a recitation of the Quran. After the prayer by Provincial Mufti Ali Hayri Çelik, the ceremony ended.
The event continued with a commemoration program at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Conference and Exhibition Hall.
The nomads of Burdur kept the spirit of Çanakkale alive
An 18 March march was organized by Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Culture and Social Research Community and Burdur Nomad Culture Research and Survival Association.
During the march from Museum Park to Republic Square, soldiers from the Çanakkale War were reenacted.
At the end of the march, which was organized to keep the spirit of Çanakkale alive and to evoke that feeling, attended by Directors of Public Institutions and Organizations, students, and citizens, a moment of silence was observed at Republic Square, followed by the National Anthem.
