Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Student Senate held its second meeting. Important issues regarding educational processes, campus life, and student services were discussed at the meeting.
The session was chaired by student Merve Öztürer, who shared the decisions made in the senate with the participants. Various topics such as equal opportunities for disabled students, campus security, transportation, and student support services were discussed, and solution proposals were developed. It was decided to submit the decisions to the Rectorate for communication to the relevant units and necessary arrangements to be made.
The Student Senate will continue its efforts to ensure more active participation of students in the educational process, support quality and accreditation processes, and establish strong communication with the university administration to convey student expectations.
Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy and Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner, as well as Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan, Education-Teaching Development Coordinator and Director of the Institute of Educational Sciences Prof. Dr. Perihan Ünivar, Deputy Secretary General Mesut Türkmen, Head of Student Affairs Department Hüseyin Kahraman, and members of the Student Senate attended the meeting.
