Rector Dalgar hosted Türkiye Üniversite Sporları volleyball regional league teams

Rector Dalgar, who drew attention to MAKÜ's sports infrastructure, “Our university is hosting the Volleyball Regional League organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation. We are hosting women's and men's teams from six different universities. The teams that succeed in these competitions, which will last approximately five days, will earn the right to compete in the national league” he said.

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Süleyman Demirel University, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, Pamukkale University, Uşak University, Antalya Bilim University, and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University are competing in the organization. The athletes and coaches participating in the tournament came together at a dinner hosted by MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar. Chatting with the athletes, Rector Dalgar emphasized that the organization provided significant contributions both to the university and to Burdur.

Dalgar stated that MAKÜ's sports facilities host professional teams during the summer period and that they are working to organize events for university sports during the winter period. As a Member of the Board of Directors of the University Sports Federation, Dalgar stated that they lead such events, “We want different universities to benefit from our university's sports infrastructure. Seeing that the satisfaction level of athletes and coaches is high makes us happy” he said.

Contributes to the Promotion of Burdur

Rector Dalgar said that such events also make significant contributions to the promotion of Burdur: “It provides an opportunity for students coming from different universities to get to know Burdur. Additionally, the facilities brought to our university with public resources are made available to the country's sports and the service of young people. We believe that sports and arts will increase the academic and professional success of young people. I wish success to all participating teams.”
