The Turkish Football Federation Examined MAKÜ Sports Facilities

Turkey Football Federation (TFF) Football Development Director Emrah Bayraktar visited Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) sports facilities.

During the visit, Bayraktar toured MAKÜ’s Faculty of Sports Sciences, İstiklal Stadium, training fields, and Lavanta Tepesi Hotel Sports Facilities. In his assessment following the inspections, he expressed his satisfaction with the facilities and used the following statements:

“Burdur, A Potential City for Turkey Finals”

“We are traveling around Turkey for the U14 National Team selections. On this occasion, we visit clubs and exchange ideas with coaches and academy directors about player development. I was previously informed about the facilities of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, but I had the opportunity to see them for the first time.

A magnificent facility has been established here. Especially the football fields within the Faculty of Sports Sciences are very impressive. We aim to spread the Turkey finals of the lower age groups to different provinces. For example, U15 finals can be held in one province, and U16 finals in another. In this context, Burdur stands out as one of the important cities with the potential we can use at the end of the season.”

Bayraktar’s visit was considered an important step in promoting and evaluating MAKÜ’s sports infrastructure at the national level.

The visit was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Emrah Atay.
