MAKÜ Will Determine the Occupational Standards in the Field of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry

National Occupational Standard includes the minimum norms that define the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors required to successfully perform a profession. This protocol aims to advance Turkey's vocational qualifications in the agriculture and livestock sector to a higher level.

 

Which Professions Will Be Standardized?

The professions determined within the scope of the protocol:

 

-Agricultural Worker,

-Dairy Processing Personnel,

-Poultry Breeding Personnel,

-Poultry Gender Separation Personnel.

 

In this process, new skills emerging in professions will be defined, and modern technologies such as Smart Agriculture applications will be considered.

 

MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar stated at the signing ceremony, “As a university specialized in livestock, obtaining the authority to define the standards of professions in the field of agriculture and livestock once again certifies MAKÜ’s achievements and adds value to our university brand. As a university, we not only contribute to regional development but also make significant contributions to Turkey's agriculture and livestock ecosystem, and we will continue to do so,” he said.

 

In addition to the President of the Vocational Qualifications Authority, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Necmi İlhan, the Director of Burdur Development Center, Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Öçal, also attended the ceremony.
