Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) organized a special concert as part of the IV. International Music Culture Art Days. At the concert held at the MAKÜ Conference and Exhibition Hall, the Mykhailo Drahomanov State University Faculty of Arts Chamber Orchestra and the MAKÜ Academic Chamber Orchestra performed.
The concert, conducted by Vasyl Fedoryshyn and Zeki Nacakcı, was highly appreciated by music lovers. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, Ukrainian Antalya Consul Oleksandr Voronin, academics, and students attended the concert.
In a speech before the concert, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy stated that the university has bilateral agreements with three universities from Ukraine and that two students from Ukraine have enrolled this year. Gürsoy indicated that this situation points to more students enrolling in the future. He also emphasized that the university has a Faculty of Education, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with national and international accreditation, and the largest animal hospital in the region, with a deep-rooted history. Gürsoy said; "Our university is growing day by day and attaches importance to internationalization. We are open to more in bilateral agreements."
After the concert, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy and Ukrainian Antalya Consul Oleksandr Voronin exchanged gifts.
