Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Art and Design held talent exams for the first time this year at Avşar Han, which started with great interest. Approximately 400 candidates applied for the Animation and Cartoon Department, which will accept only 40 students.

Candidates who want to study in the Animation and Cartoon Department made great efforts in the exams to showcase their talents in the best way possible.

Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, Prof. Dr. Serdar Tuna, emphasized that the aim of the exams is to bring the most talented students to MAKÜ. “Students are in a fierce competition to showcase their imagination and drawing skills at the highest level. Students from all over Turkey show great interest in cartoon and animation departments, which have gained significant popularity in terms of job opportunities in recent years. There is a great economic potential worldwide in this field, and these departments are quite limited in Turkey. Therefore, we organize talent exams to bring the best students to our university,” he said.

While families waiting for their children during the exam were eagerly waiting for the exam to be successful, students who came out of the talent exam stated that their exams went well and they chose Burdur and MAKÜ because they liked them.
