The Folk Dance Team of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKU) came first in the International Folk Dance Competition held in Hungary. Last year, the MAKU Folk Dance Team had won the championship for the fifth consecutive time by coming first in the 20th Universities Folk Dances and Folk Music Festival organized by the Turkey University Sports Federation in Bartin.
First Place on the World Stage
The MAKU Folk Dance Team left all its competitors behind and came first in the 29th Danube Carnival and International Folk Dance Competition held in Hungary. This great success proved the team's superior performance in the national arena at the international level as well.
