Rector Dalgar Met with Guidance Teachers During the Preference Period

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University hosted YKS preference advisors and guidance teachers to promote the university during the preference period and to give advice to students. Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner, Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan and Kimer Director Dr. Murat Kara also attended the event held at Avşar Han. At the event, detailed information about MAKÜ was shared with guidance teachers.

MAKÜ is a Leading University in Applied Education

Rector Dalgar, who touched on why prospective students should prefer MAKÜ, talked about the opportunities, projects and facilities of MAKÜ. Rector Dalgar said, “As MAKÜ, we attach great importance to applied education. We don't think it's right to bombard students with information in classrooms. We are aware that in a period where access to information is very easy, it is necessary to gain application skills and we have been working on this for a long time. MAKÜ provides education with 6+2 and 7+1 applications. Students take vocational training courses in businesses in their final periods. With this course, they have the opportunity to apply the education they received during their learning period under real business conditions,” he said.

MAKÜ Demonstrated Its Importance to Quality Standards with Accreditation Success

Rector Dalgar said, "Our university has earned the right to receive institutional accreditation for 5 years by successfully meeting the national higher education quality standards as a result of the 2023 Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) evaluations conducted by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK)," emphasizing the importance MAKÜ attaches to quality standards. 

We Adopted an Innovative Approach in Education with MAKÜ Plus

Rector Dalgar, who gave information about "MAKÜ Plus", said, “As MAKÜ, we have launched the MAKÜ Plus platform to increase our education quality and enrich student experiences. With the platform developed by our MAKÜ Education and Training Development Coordination, a development that evaluates the extracurricular gains of our students, scores the activities they participate in and documents these activities was created. Thus, with MAKÜ Plus, we aim to offer students interactive learning experiences and increase their academic success” he said.

Opportunities Provided by the Career School to Students

Rector Dalgar, who also gave information about MAKÜ Career School, said, “Career School is a skill-based program that offers career counseling to help our students set their career goals. With this program, we aim to improve the knowledge, skills and information technology competencies required by the career fields chosen by the students.” he said.

Rector Dalgar, who stated that Burdur is an economic city, also mentioned the advantages of being a safe city where families can easily send their children.
