Prof. Dr. Ömer TEKŞEN - Vice Rector
He was born in 1977 in Burdur. He graduated from Kütahya Dumlupınar University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 2000. In 2003, he received the title of Certified Public Accountant. In 2004, he started working as a Lecturer at Süleyman Demirel University Gönen Vocational School. He completed his doctoral education in 2006 at Süleyman Demirel University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Business Administration. Prof. Dr. Tekşen, who started working as an Assistant Professor at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in 2006, conducted studies as a visiting lecturer at The University of Texas at Dallas (USA) for 3 months in 2012. He received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Accounting in 2013. In 2018, he was appointed to the position of Professor at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
In addition to being a faculty member, he has held and continues to hold administrative positions such as Dean, Rector's Advisor, Vocational School Director, Senate Membership, University Administrative Board Membership, Faculty Administrative Board Membership, Faculty Board Membership, Department Headships, Vocational School Deputy Director, Acting Department Head, School Administrative Board Membership, Vocational School Administrative Board Memberships, Vocational School Board Membership, ÖSYM Burdur/Central Exam Coordination, Provincial Employment Board Presidency, BAGEV Scientific Board Membership, City Council Membership, etc. He also took on responsibilities as chairman or member in various commissions established within the Rectorate, Faculty, and Vocational School. Prof. Dr. Tekşen, who received the title of "Independent Auditor" in 2014, is a member of the Public Oversight Authority and Burdur Chamber of Certified Public Accountants.
The doctoral thesis prepared by Prof. Dr. Tekşen titled “Barter İşlemlerinin Muhasebeleştirilmesi ve Vergilendirilmesinin Yeni Finansal Tekniklerle Karşılaştırılarak İncelenmesi: Bir Araştırma” was awarded as one of Turkey's top 5 doctoral theses in the 2006 doctoral theses competition organized by the Economic Research Foundation. Prof. Dr. Tekşen, who has authored numerous national and international articles, papers, and book chapters, has supervised and continues to supervise postgraduate theses.

Prof. Dr. Hakan ÖNER - Vice Rector
Born in 1972 in Elazığ, Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner graduated from Fırat University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He completed his doctoral education in 2001 at Fırat University Health Sciences Institute Department of Histology and Embryology (Medical Program) and started working as a Lecturer at Akdeniz University Burdur Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the same year. In 2003, he was appointed to the position of Assistant Professor at Akdeniz University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Prof. Dr. Öner, who received the title of Associate Professor in 2006, was appointed to the position of Professor in the Department of Histology and Embryology at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
Prof. Dr. Öner served as the Director of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University School of Health between 2007-2011. In 2015, he was appointed as the Dean of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Since 2017, he has been serving as the Coordinator of Agricultural and Livestock Development Projects responsible for projects in the field of Livestock carried out within the scope of the Regional Development Focused Mission Differentiation and Specialization program. Prof. Dr. Öner is a member of the Turkish Society of Histology and Embryology and the Burdur Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons, and is the Burdur delegate of the Turkish Veterinary Medical Association Council.
Prof. Dr. Öner has numerous articles published in international journals, most of which are within the scope of SCI or SCI-Expanded, and many papers presented at national and international congresses. He has authored book chapters and served as an editor for scientific journals. He has supervised and continues to supervise postgraduate theses.
Married with two children, Prof. Dr. Öner has been appointed as the Vice Rector of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University as of June 12, 2023.
Prof. Dr. Oğuz GÜRSOY - Vice Rector
He was born in 1976 in Afyonkarahisar. He graduated as the top of his class from Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Engineering, Department of Food Engineering in 1997. He completed his Master's education in 2000 at Pamukkale University Institute of Science, Department of Food Engineering, and his Doctorate education in 2005 at Ege University Institute of Science, Department of Dairy Technology. After his Doctorate education, he conducted studies as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Food Technology at the University of Helsinki (Finland) with a scholarship from the Finland International Mobility Center (CIMO) between 2005-2006. Prof. Dr. Gürsoy, who received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Food Sciences and Engineering in 2012, was a visiting researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) for 3 months in 2013. He was appointed to the position of Professor in the Department of Food Technology in 2017.
Currently continuing his work in the Faculty of Engineering-Architecture, Department of Food Engineering, Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy has held various administrative positions since 2007, such as Head of Department, Deputy Head of Department, Head of Department, Faculty Executive Board and Faculty Board Memberships, Senate Membership, Institute of Science Executive Board Membership, Deputy Director of the Institute of Science, and Vice Dean. Prof. Dr. Gürsoy, who has served on numerous different boards and commissions such as Burdur KOSGEP R&D Innovation Board Membership, National Food Codex Commission Dairy and Dairy Products Sub-Commission Membership, University Quality Commission Membership, served as the Dean of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Engineering-Architecture between 06.08.2020-05.03.2024.
Prof. Dr. Gürsoy, who has authored numerous articles, papers, and book chapters of national (TR-Index) and international (SCI-Expanded, Scopus) quality, supervised postgraduate theses, and took roles as a director, researcher, and consultant in research projects supported by various sources (TÜBİTAK, Ministry, BAP), is currently serving as an editor and editorial board member in national and international journals.
