Science Center Exhibition Design Competition Applications Have Started

With the Science Center Exhibition Design Competition, it is aimed for university students and science center employees to transform their theoretical knowledge into concrete and interactive exhibition setups.
The application process for the Science Center Exhibition Design Competition organized by the Science and Society Presidency has started. In the competition, it is expected to design original exhibition setups inspired by TÜBİTAK Popular Science Books content, where visitors can learn by touching, experimenting, and discovering. Participants are asked to present a holistic exhibition setup consisting of at least 1 and at most 5 exhibition units within an area of 50 m².
Call Schedule:
1st Stage (Conceptual Design) Submission: May 6, 2026
Announcement of 1st Stage Results: May 13, 2026
2nd Stage (Implementation Project) Submission: June 9, 2026
2nd Stage Jury (Final) Presentation: June 11, 2026
Award Ceremony: It will be held at the TÜBİTEM Summit 2026 and will be announced by TÜBİTAK.
Final presentations and award ceremony will be held at Gaziantep Müzeyyen Erkul Science Center.
Awards and Supports:
For participants who rank in the competition, the first prize is set at 75,000 TL, the second prize at 50,000 TL, and the third prize at 40,000 TL, and additionally, a support of 30,000 TL will be provided within the scope of the idea project.
Participants who successfully complete the first stage may be provided with prototyping support with an upper limit of 10,000 TL to develop their projects, or participants may be directed to National Technology Workshops for prototype production support.
The travel expenses of participants invited to the final presentation (in case of a team application, the team representative) will also be covered.
Application:
Undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students from all departments of universities and employees working in science centers can apply to the competition. Applications can be made individually or as interdisciplinary teams consisting of up to 5 people.
