The ceremony was held with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, as well as the academicians who provided the training and the students. Within the scope of the program, students received training in a wide range from professional development to personal competencies.

Intensive training program

During the 18-day training, students participated in practical courses in areas such as;

  • Critical thinking
  • Effective communication
  • Job search skills and strategies
  • English in daily life
  • Time management
  • Advanced Excel applications
  • Dealing with stress in business life
  • Artificial intelligence applications
  • Service orientation
  •

Additionally, seminars were organized on the themes of Being a University Student in the 21st Century, Career Management in the Digital Age, and Career Journey. The training was not limited to MAKÜ academicians and was carried out with contributions from faculty members from different provinces.

“This effort has paid off”

Speaking at the ceremony, Rector Dalgar emphasized that the Career School students are a qualified group and stated:

“I see that I am facing a truly selected group of students with goals. Successfully completing the training is a great source of satisfaction for us. This process shows that the effort put in has paid off.”

Rector Dalgar stated that the Career School will be expanded every term, aiming for more students to benefit from this opportunity.

“Career School is a rare model in Turkey”

Dalgar also drew attention to the micro-qualifications offered by the program and the university's innovative education approach.

Dalgar stated that few universities in Turkey implement a similar system and expressed that students have the opportunity to differentiate themselves by receiving support outside their fields.

Dalgar noted that micro-qualifications, which are on the agenda of the Higher Education Council, will create an important distinction among universities in the future, emphasizing that especially applied education models, compulsory artificial intelligence courses, and +1 and +2 application programs are significant innovations unique to MAKÜ.

“More than a diploma is needed”

Rector Dalgar stated that having only a diploma is not sufficient today and gave the following advice to students:

“What makes a difference is a person's self-development, awareness, and effort. We are living in a period where the student's own function comes to the fore more than the function of universities.”

Thanking all the academicians involved in the program and the instructors who contributed from different universities, Dalgar wished success to the graduating students:

“With the hope that you will be individuals who make the best use of this process and prepare yourself for the future from today... May God clear your path.”

Evaluations from academicians

Prof. Dr. Duygu Kızıldağ, Faculty Member of the Department of Human Resources Management at İzmir Democracy University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, stated that the program provided a visionary perspective on young people's career journeys and said, “I was very happy and proud to be part of this project.”

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Zihni Tunca, Faculty Member at Isparta Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Business Administration, emphasized that the program should be widespread in other universities as well.
