A meaningful event from MAKÜ student communities in village schools
Yapılış Tarihi | 12 December 2025, Friday
The work continues at full speed within the scope of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University’s (MAKÜ) Village University project. As part of the project, this time the university's student communities came together with primary and secondary school students in the town of Kocaaliler in the Bucak district.
In the event organized jointly by MAKÜ Health Community, Youth and Sports Community, and Dentistry Community, oral and dental health screenings were conducted for children studying at Kocaaliler Primary and Secondary School. After the screenings, students were given an informative training on the importance of oral and dental health. The program, which benefited a total of 200 students, was completed with the distribution of oral and dental health kits to the children.
The event was implemented under the guidance of community advisors Dr. Lecturer Süleyman Faki, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazife Bakır, and Health Community advisor Gülsüm Betül. The project is considered an important step both in raising health awareness among students and in strengthening university-village relations.
