Rector Dalgar visited the Emitt 2025 Fair and FSMVÜ Rector Şimşek

The 28th Emitt – Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair, held at Istanbul TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center between February 5-7, 2025, is hosting 660 invited tour operators from 80 countries and nearly 30,000 visitors this year.
The Burdur Governorship, while promoting the city's natural and cultural values at the stand set up within the scope of Emitt 2025, offers visitors Burdur’s geographically indicated delicacies. The promotion of local products such as Bucak Salep, Burdur Walnut Paste, Karamanlı Walnut, and Tefenni Fennel attracts great interest. In addition, Burdur, the Cultural Capital of the Teke Region, features its rich folk music and folk dances among the fair activities. On February 5 at 13:30, February 6 at 14:00, and February 7 at 13:00, performances accompanied by Burdur’s geographically indicated folk instruments, Sipsi and Cura, in the foyer area, provide unforgettable moments for the participants.
Rector Dalgar and his team visited various stands at the Emitt Fair and met with industry representatives. Dalgar, who exchanged ideas to increase Burdur’s tourism potential, received information about the ongoing efforts.
Visit for Inter-University Cooperation by Rector Dalgar
After the Emitt Fair visits, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar also visited Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University (FSMVU) Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Şimşek in his office. During the meeting, Dalgar provided information about the projects and academic studies conducted at MAKÜ and exchanged ideas on possible collaborations between the two universities. Rector Şimşek also talked about the projects and academic activities at his university. At the end of the visit, Rector Dalgar presented Rector Şimşek with a facsimile edition of Mehmet Akif Ersoy’s work “Safahat.”
