MAKÜ, in the 2025 Times Higher Education subject-based World university rankings

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) has succeeded in entering the 1001+ band worldwide and among 38 universities in Turkey in the field of Life Sciences in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2025.
In the field of Life Sciences, universities were evaluated in four main disciplines: Veterinary Science (veterinary, animal health, and clinical practice), Biological Sciences (biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology), Agriculture and Forestry (agricultural science, forest management, and sustainable resources), and Sports Science (sports medicine, exercise physiology, and performance studies).
This year's rankings include 1,143 institutions from 98 countries and regions, evaluated according to 18 performance indicators categorized under five main pillars such as Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry Collaboration, and International Outlook.
MAKÜ has succeeded in ranking among 20 universities in Turkey in the field of Veterinary Science (veterinary, animal health, and clinical practice), among 37 universities in Turkey in the field of Biological Sciences (biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology), among 28 universities in Turkey in the field of Agriculture and Forestry (agricultural science, forest management, and sustainable resources), and among 33 universities in Turkey in the field of Sports Science (sports medicine, exercise physiology, and performance studies), and in all fields, it has succeeded in entering the 1001+ band worldwide.
