Awareness Increases in the Fight Against Addiction at MAKU

An "Addiction Self-Efficacy and Benefit-Harm Perception Peer Awareness Activity" was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Hanife Ülgen, a faculty member in the Department of Pediatric Health and Diseases Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ).
An event titled "Self-Efficacy and Benefit-Harm Perception in Addiction Peer Awareness Activity" was held under the guidance of Dr. Hanife Ülgen, who works at the Department of Child Health and Diseases Nursing of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ).
At the event, an information stand was opened with posters and brochures prepared by the students who took the "Self-Efficacy and Benefit-Harm Perception in Addiction" course, which was opened as an elective course, to increase peer awareness.
In the studies conducted; it was emphasized that individuals can be protected from addiction and quit by increasing their self-efficacy and harm perception in the fight against addiction, and it was stated in the studies that the most important risk factor in addiction is peer groups. The students who attended the event were informed about self-efficacy, the factors that affect the development of self-efficacy, the benefit/harm perception in addiction and the effects of these factors on addiction, and brochures were distributed.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Mutlu Gülmemiş, academicians and students attended the event.
