Akif Ersoy University (MAKU) has successfully met the national higher education quality standards as a result of the 2023 Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) evaluations carried out by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK), and has earned the right to receive institutional accreditation for 5 years. This success strongly confirms our university's commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in the fields of education, research and social contribution.
Our university has gone through a process that meticulously evaluates each of the criteria in the fields of leadership, governance, quality, education-teaching, research-development and social contribution determined by YÖKAK. MAKU has set an example in areas such as continuous updating of academic programs in line with the requirements of the age, effectively reflecting the feedback received from students and faculty members in decision-making processes, continuous improvement of research and development activities, and enrichment of teaching resources.
This prestige brought by accreditation will increase the recognition and preference of our university nationally and internationally. In addition, along with the information in the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide, it is expected that our preference as an accredited institution and our academic collaborations will expand.
Following this significant institutional accreditation success, as Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, we will accelerate our unit and department accreditation efforts. Among our future goals is for each faculty and department to reach the highest standards in their field. In this direction, it is among our priorities to ensure that our academic programs meet national and international accreditation criteria and to make continuous improvements in providing the best education to our students in line with the needs of the industry. The experiences and successes we have gained during the accreditation process will guide us in reaching these new goals. In the coming period, we will continue to develop each of our departments in a way that meets the expectations of our students and society by working in coordination with all our academic and administrative units.
