Yayın Tarihi | 25 May 2024, Saturday

The 104th anniversary of the establishment of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, gifted to all children of the world, carries the feature of being the first and only children's day gifted to the children of the world with the vision of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, as well as being a symbol of our national sovereignty and independence.

As Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, we are aware of our responsibility to protect the valuable heritage we have inherited from our ancestors and to raise our children, who are our future, with this consciousness. Our university is working for our children to grow up as individuals who contribute to society and humanity, walking towards a bright future under the guidance of science, committed to national and spiritual values.

With these feelings and thoughts, I remember with respect, mercy and gratitude all our heroes, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of our independence struggle. I pray for God's mercy on the brave hearts of Anatolia who contributed to our struggle for independence, and I celebrate the festival of our children who bring us the joy of this meaningful day and our noble nation with my deepest wishes.
