Yayın Tarihi | 28 March 2024, Thursday
The library of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKU), which is the newest and largest library in the region, offers academic richness and a comfortable study area for students and academics. Our library, spread over a wide area of 10,000 square meters and with a seating capacity of 1000, provides 24/7 service with uninterrupted access to information.
Our library, with a massive collection of 85,000 printed books and 300,000 e-books, knows no bounds in accessing information. Our students can easily complete their membership procedures online and quickly access the resources they are looking for. Our barrier-free access unit, which aims to create equal learning opportunities for every student, enables our visually impaired students to access information without any problems.
Individual study rooms, computer labs, and user trainings in our library support and facilitate the research and learning processes of our students and faculty members. Our customized areas, especially with drawing tables designed for our engineering and architecture students, encourage interdisciplinary studies. The ability to access our library's databases from outside the campus also enables our students and faculty members to access information from anywhere.
The four separate conference halls and booths suitable for both personal and group studies located within our library maximize the productivity of our students by offering flexible and diverse working environments. In addition, our special services such as lending polar blankets to make our students' study environment more comfortable, and offering soup during exam periods, make them feel supported and motivated even in intense periods.
MAKU Library is a center that facilitates students' and academics' access to information, inspires their academic success, and adds value to education with its extensive resources. Here, our students not only study, but also find the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills, creating equal education opportunities for everyone through barrier-free access facilities. This is a strong proof of why one should come to MAKU.
