THESIS MASTER'S PROGRAM APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. 1- Must have a bachelor's degree or a diploma from a foreign faculty or college recognized as equivalent by YÖK.
  2. 2- Must have obtained at least 55 full points from the ALES exam in the numerical score type.

 

 

EVALUATION (THESIS MASTER'S)

 

The success score is calculated based on ALES score, undergraduate GPA, and foreign language score. In the calculation of the success score, 50% of the ALES score, 40% of the undergraduate GPA, and 10% of the foreign language score are taken into account for ranking. In case of equal success scores, priority is given to the candidate with the higher ALES score, undergraduate graduation score, and foreign language score, respectively.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION TO THESIS MASTER'S PROGRAMS: 

  1. 1- ALES result document, 
  2. 2- Bachelor's diploma/graduation certificate (Certified) or e-government printout,
  3. 3- Certified document/transcript showing the courses taken and success scores in undergraduate education (The graduation score considered in applications is evaluated as it appears in the e-government system of the student: 
  4. 4- *If the student's success score is only available in the 100-point system in e-government, it is evaluated as it is. 
  5. 5- *If the student's score is only available in the 4-point system in e-government, this score is converted to the 100-point system using the YÖK conversion table and evaluated. 
  6. 6- *If the student's score is available in both the 100-point and 4-point systems in e-government, the score is evaluated in the 4-point system and converted to the 100-point system using the YÖK conversion table.)
  7. 7- Foreign language (YDS or equivalent) result document obtained within the last 5 (Five) years, 
  8. 8- Identity card or Population Registration Sample or e-government printout,

DOCTORATE PROGRAM APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. 1- Must have a diploma from a Thesis Master's program. 
  2. 2- Must have obtained at least 55 full points from the ALES exam in the numerical score type.
  3. 3- Turkish students who have completed undergraduate and Master's programs abroad must have obtained an equivalence certificate from YÖK. 
  4. 4- Must have obtained at least 55 points from central foreign language exams accepted by YÖK or equivalent international foreign language exams or an equivalent score from international foreign language exams accepted by ÖSYM. 

 

EVALUATION (DOCTORATE)

             In the admission of students to doctorate programs; ALES score, undergraduate GPA, foreign language score, and written or oral exam result are evaluated. In the evaluation, 50% of the ALES exam score, 20% of the Master's GPA, 10% of the foreign language score, and 20% of the written or oral exam score are taken into account, and a ranking is made among those who score at least 65 points in total. The success score of candidates who do not take the written or oral exam is not calculated. In case of equal success scores, priority is given to the candidate with the higher ALES exam score, Master's graduation score, and foreign language score, respectively.

GRADUATE PROGRAM LATERAL TRANSFER ANNOUNCEMENT

 

Our university's Institute of Science will admit students through Lateral Transfer to Graduate Programs for the 2025 – 2026 Academic Year Fall Semester. 

 

DOCTORATE LATERAL TRANSFER APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

  1. 1- The application form in the forms section on our Institute's page will be filled out.
  2. 2- Must have completed at least one semester in the graduate program they are enrolled in, successfully completed all the courses they are continuing in the program they are coming from, and have an average success score of at least 75 points out of 100 full points or equivalent for the doctorate.
  3. 3- The student who will make a lateral transfer must meet the application requirements of the Institute programs.

 

THESIS MASTER'S LATERAL TRANSFER APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

 

  1. 1- The application form in the forms section on our Institute's page will be filled out.
  2. 2- Must have completed at least one semester in the graduate program they are enrolled in, successfully completed all the courses they are continuing in the program they are coming from, and have an average success score of at least 70 points out of 100 full points or equivalent for the Master's.
  3. 3- The student who will make a lateral transfer must meet the application requirements of the Institute programs.

 

Note: Students who want to make a lateral transfer will not take the written or oral exam. Students in the thesis stage cannot make a lateral transfer.

IMPORTANT EXPLANATIONS

 

 

 

  1. 1- Education will be conducted face-to-face in our Institute in the 2025-2026 Academic Year. The Institute Directorate may update the application calendar, exam method, registration form, and date specified in the announcement in line with extraordinary developments.
  2. 2- All applications will be received online through the application system at https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/ina_app (except for lateral transfer applications). Candidates must follow the developments regarding the application, exam, and registration process on our Institute's website (https:/fbe.mehmetakif.edu.tr).
  3. 3- Before the candidate's application is sent to the juries, it will only be approved by our Institute units by checking whether the necessary documents have been uploaded to the application system. The content evaluation of the document and whether the application is suitable in terms of field and special conditions will be evaluated by the program's juries.   4- The documents required for registration in the "Application and Registration System" must be uploaded to the system during the online application. Applications with missing documents cannot be evaluated.
  4. 5- Students with Turkish citizenship can apply to our Institute's graduate quotas for the 2025-2026 Academic Year Fall Semester, and applications can be made to a maximum of 2 (two) departments/programs. Up to 4 (four) times the number of quotas in the applied program will be evaluated as reserve candidates.
  5. 6- Those who certify that they graduated as the top of their program from Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University undergraduate diploma programs and those who are entitled to receive the "Asım's Generation Achievement Certificate" or "Asım's Generation Superior Achievement Certificate" have the right to apply and register for the Thesis Master's program they want, provided that they meet the general and special conditions required in the announcement of the relevant program without being included in the rankings. Program toppers who will apply in this category will apply to our Institute in person or by mail/e-mail with the necessary documents without using the online application system. If more than one program topper applies to the same program;
    1. a-) If there are more than one student applying from the top quota to the same program, priority is given to the candidate with the higher success score.
    2. b-) Students who cannot be placed from the top quota among the applicants will be included in the same program list and evaluated.
  6. 7- The registration process of students who are entitled to final registration will be carried out at https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/ina_app. Candidates who have completed their final registration can view their student documents and status through e-government.
  7. 8- The postponement requests of male students who have completed their final registration will be carried out by our Institute. Our students are responsible for following their postponement status. In some cases (age, evasion, ongoing

postponements, etc.), postponement processes are rejected by the military branch they are affiliated with. Therefore, please check your military status before registering.

 

 

  1. 9- A student who wants to cancel their registration voluntarily must apply to our Institute with a petition stating their request for cancellation. In this case, the paid tuition and registration fees are not refunded.
