A Great Step for Social Contribution from Çavdır Vocational School

The Çavdır Vocational School hosted an important meeting with the participation of Çavdır District Governor Kübra Nur Taşçı, Çavdır Mayor Ali Okan Yücel, Secretary General of the Western Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA) Volkan Güler, and BAKA Burdur Coordinator Mustafa Yüce. At the meeting, projects aimed at the social and economic development of Çavdır were discussed. The meeting started with a presentation by the Director of the Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Öçal.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Öçal, the Director of the Vocational School who made the opening speech of the meeting, touched on the importance of Çavdır Vocational School for the region and the details of the planned projects. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Öçal stated in his speech, "Our vocational school not only provides education but also works on various projects to contribute to the social and economic development of our region. In this context, we are very pleased to be in cooperation with the Western Mediterranean Development Agency."

BAKA Secretary General Volkan Güler, on the other hand, stated that they support the projects implemented for the development of the region as an Agency and emphasized Çavdır's potential. The main agenda item of the meeting, social contribution projects, were shaped according to the priorities determined in line with the needs of the region. In the presentation made by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Öçal, detailed information was given on the development of agriculture and livestock and vocational education of young people. In particular, emphasis was placed on the importance of projects aimed at supporting social entrepreneurship focused on goat milk, which has a significant potential in Çavdır district, social inclusion of disadvantaged groups, empowerment of women and their contribution to the local economy.

At the end of the meeting, consultations were held to evaluate the resources and cooperation opportunities necessary for the implementation of the projects. The meeting held at Çavdır Vocational School was considered an important step for the social and economic development of the region. All parties participating in the meeting stated that they will make a great effort for the future of Çavdır by acting in cooperation.
