2024 Summer School Announcement

Registration for the 2024 Summer School courses will be held between July 1, 2024 and July 10, 2024.

 

Detailed information and documents that will guide and inform our university students and guest students who want to take courses from our university's summer school are included in the attached files. It would be beneficial for all our students to review the attached files before starting the summer school application procedures.

 

All of the courses "Atatürk Principles and Revolution History I - II", "Turkish Language I - II" and "Foreign Language (English) I - II" at our university will be conducted by distance education method, all courses other than these courses will be conducted by face-to-face education method. The midterm and end-of-semesterfinal exam of the courses "Atatürk Principles and Revolution History I - II", "Turkish Language I - II" and "Foreign Language (English) I - II" to be conducted by distance education method will be conducted face-to-face. The exam format will be determined by the instructor and announced to the students according to the determined calendar.

 

A quota of 100 students has been set for all courses to be opened in the summer school by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Students of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine who cannot register for the courses due to the quota being full will be evaluated outside the quota and their course registration procedures will be carried out by the unit student affairs if they apply to their own units with a petition.

 

Common courses between units in the 2024 Summer School;

Atatürk Principles and Revolution History I-II, Turkish Language I-II and Foreign Language (English) I-II courses taught in all academic units will be opened in the Faculty of Education.

The courses taught in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Bucak Business Faculty and Bucak Zeliha Tolunay Applied Technology and Business Vocational School will be combined in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. In the 2024 Summer School, the units where the courses to be opened after the applications are finalized will be announced by the Summer School Coordination Board according to the number of students, ECTS and credit status of the courses.

Optional formation courses and formation courses taught in the Faculty of Sports Sciences Physical Education and Teaching Program and the Faculty of Theology will be opened in the Faculty of Education. 

 

In Summer School Applications;

In order for MAKU students to take the course that is not opened in the unit they are registered in, in case it is opened in another unit within the university without losing their rights, they need to apply with the application form at https://prg.mehmetakif.edu.tr/YazOkuluBasvuruFormu/?YOBF=MAKU and their application must be accepted by the decision of the unit board of directors afterwards.

 

MAKU student, in case their courses are not opened in our university's faculties / vocational schools / conservatories / vocational schools in the summer school, in order not to lose their rights, they can take courses from other university / universities by applying with the application form at https://prg.mehmetakif.edu.tr/YazOkuluBasvuruFormu/?YOBF=DIGER and their application must be accepted by the decision of the unit board of directors afterwards.

 

 Students registered at other universities;
 https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/summer_app/   They create a registration by applying from the address. 1 day later https://net.mehmetakif.edu.tr/welcome  They can take courses from the summer school like MAKU students in the status of guest students by logging in with their e-government password from the page. The document prepared on how to apply is attached to the announcement as "MAKU Student Number Acquisition". The student numbers of the students who apply will be sent to the e-mail addresses they specify in the application within 24 hours. If the registration information does not come to the e-mail address, information can be obtained by e-mail from yazokulu@mehmetakif.edu.tr.

Our university students and guest students are required to make their course selection through the Student Information System; then they need to finalize their selected courses on the Student Information System by depositing the course fee through "Vakıfbank" internet banking, mobile banking and ATMs with their student numbers. In the summer school, if no course change is made for the courses that are not opened or left due to conflict, the refunds will be made to the bank account number (IBAN number) opened in their own name, which the students have registered in the Student Information System, within the summer school period. If the student does not have a bank account (IBAN number) opened in his/her own name, THE REFUND PROCESS CANNOT BE MADE ABSOLUTELY. Therefore, it is of great importance that the IBAN number is correct and complete, and if there is any disruption, the necessary updates are made in the Student Information System to avoid delay in course fee refunds.
